Canadian National Railway to Conduct Track Improvements at Two Railroad Overpasses in Paducah

Canadian National Railway (CN) has notified the City of Paducah that scheduled track improvement work will take place next week at two railroad overpasses within the city limits, resulting in temporary daytime road closures.

Beginning Tuesday, May 19, and continuing through Wednesday, May 20, Jefferson Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day while crews perform the improvement work on the railroad bridge located between North 31st Street and Labelle Street.

Work will then shift to the railroad bridge over Broadway on Thursday, May 21, and Friday, May 22. Broadway will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days between North 31st Street and South 31st Street to allow crews to safely complete the project.

Road closure signage will be posted on surrounding roadways to alert drivers during the closures. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling near work zones.
