City of Paducah Service Changes for 2023 Independence Day Holiday

With Tuesday’s Independence Day holiday, there are schedule changes for some City services. 

  • City Hall City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street and other city offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4
  • Garbage Collection Public Works crews will NOT collect garbage on Tuesday, July 4. Tuesday’s routes will be collected Wednesday, July 5 along with Wednesday’s routes.
  • Compost Facility The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street is closed to the public on Tuesday, July 4.
  • Pool The Noble Park Pool is OPEN on July 4 from 12 until 5 p.m.

Independence Day Celebration Paducah's Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Independence Bank, Ingram Barge Company, and Pine Bluff Materials Company, will be Tuesday, July 4 on Paducah's riverfront. Enjoy live music and food vendors starting at 6 p.m. with fireworks by Pyro Shows after the singing of the National Anthem by Hayley Payne at 9:05 p.m.

Food vendors will start serving by 6 p.m. They will be in two locations: 1) on the river side of the floodwall near Kentucky Avenue and 2) in Schultz Park.

A new feature this year will be two entertainment areas. An acoustic performance area will be located near the boat dock with Candice Gunn at 6 p.m. and Crowfoot at 7:30 p.m.  On Wilson Stage, the main stage at the foot of Broadway, Wheelhouse Rousters take the stage at 6 p.m. and Hayley Payne will entertain the crowd at 7:45 p.m.
