Date of release: May 29, 2020
The Paducah Parks & Recreation Department is developing virtual fitness classes and summer camps to encourage at-home fitness and summer activities.
The Virtual Fitness Classes with the Paducah Recreation Center will begin Tuesday, June 2. Each of the classes is a 20 to 30-minute workout that participants can do from the comfort of their own home. The fitness classes will be streamed live on the Paducah Parks & Recreation Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/PaducahParks, and then will be available on the City’s website at /departments/parks-recreation/distance-recreation. A schedule of classes also is available on that webpage with a variety of classes and times offered.
Virtual Summer Camps begin Monday, June 1. The Parks & Recreation Department has organized eight weeks of themed, daily activities to keep kids busy and entertained this summer. All camps will have downloads, schedules, and lists of any materials available on the website under Day Camps. The information will be posted on the Thursday prior to the camp week. For next week, the theme is All Sports Camp. Other theme weeks include Olympics Camp and STEM Camp.
