Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Grant-in-Aid Program and Applications

The City of Paducah's Fiscal Year 2026-2027 begins July 1, 2026. The deadline for eligible nonprofit agencies within the Paducah city limits to submit an application to be considered for fiscal year 2026-2027 funding is July 31, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Each agency interested in applying MUST view the 20-minute mandatory video which provides program details.

The Grant-in-Aid Categories with links to the applications are as follows:

  • Standard Grant – eligible for non-profit agencies that provide new or existing programs or projects that benefit the quality of life for the residents of Paducah. The maximum award available is $25,000.
  • MicroGrant  – eligible for non-profit agencies providing programs or projects that benefit the quality of life for Paducah residents. The grant request is limited to $5000 or less.

General Timeline 

  • June 26, 2026 - Grant-in-Aid program opens.
  • July 1, 2026 - Beginning of City of Paducah Fiscal Year 2026-2027
  • July 31, 2026 - Deadline to submit application at 4:30 p.m.
  • August 2026 - Review of applications and selection of awards. (tentative)
  • September 2026 - Announcement of winners and signing of contracts. (tentative)

Application Guidelines and Mandatory Video

  • Agency's primary office must be located within the city limits of Paducah.
  • Agency must be a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Agency must apply by the deadline and submit application to the  by 4:30 p.m. CDT, Friday, July 31, 2026. No late applications will be accepted.
  • An Agency can only submit ONE application.
  • An agency submitting a Standard Grant-In-Aid Application may not request more than $25,000.
  • An agency submitting a MicroGrant Application may not request more than $5,000.
  • An agency must attest to watching the mandatory workshop video prior to applying.
  • Applicants must complete an application, submit a proposal, and attach all required supplementary documents.
  • If the request is for operations, it cannot be more than 50% of the operations budget.
  • All agencies selected to receive a Standard Grant-In-Aid Award must provide an annual audit.
  • Agencies selected to receive a grant will be required to enter into a Contract for Services with the City of Paducah.
  • Agencies must have a current business license with the City of Paducah to receive funding.
  • All grantees must provide a mid-year and final report on use of the funds and the impact on the City.
  • Applicants must show they have both the fiscal and human resources to complete projects

In order for the City to award a Grant-In-Aid contract, the proposed project must meet the following requirements:

  • The program/project being funded is one in which the City could independently engage.
  • The City has control over how the funding is spent through the contractual agreement.
  • The expenditure is primarily benefiting the public at-large rather than an individual or a private organization/business.

All applicants must watch the mandatory video and confirm in their application that they have viewed it.
