Commission Priorities - 2025/2026


The Paducah Board of Commissioners held strategic planning sessions on February 21 and 22 to develop priorities for calendar years 2025 and 2026. At its March 25, 2025, meeting, the Board officially adopted ten priority areas which are listed below in no particular order.


  • Quality Housing
  • Rental Property Occupancy Permitting
  • Downtown/Economic Development
  • Southside Revitalization
  • Growth
  • Quality of Life
  • City Facilities
  • City Staffing Needs
  • Revenue Equity
  • Support for Human and Social Services (i.e. Homelessness, Food Insecurities)


The Board selected the following continuous improvement action items:

2024 Reports and Overview

After holding strategic planning sessions on February 6 and 10, 2024, to review the 2023 priorities and accomplishments, the Board determined the 2024 priorities which were adopted at the February 27 meeting. The Board selected ten Commission Priorities and five Continuous Improvement items. Substantial updates on specific tactics will be provided when necessary. The Board of Commissioners and City Manager's Office are involved in each priority item.

2022 City Commission Priorities

The Paducah Board of Commissioners held a strategic planning session in February 2022 to review the 2021 priorities and determine the 2022 priorities.  The Board adopted 10 Commission Priorities on March 22, 2022. The Board also identified three items that were priority action items in 2021 for continued focus as Continuous Improvement Items.
